La réponse dépend entièrement du statut réglementaire de la néobanque — et la plupart des sites comparatifs occultent cette information. Nous la mettons en avant.
Les trois niveaux de réglementation
Ce que cela signifie : la néobanque détient une licence bancaire complète délivrée par une autorité de régulation nationale de l'UE/EEE (par exempleBaFin , Banque de Lituanie,DNB ). Vos dépôts sont protégés jusqu'à 100 000 € par personne et par établissement dans le cadre du système européen de garantie des dépôts (directive 2014/49/UE). Si la banque fait faillite, vous serez remboursé dans un délai de 7 jours ouvrables.
Ce que cela signifie : L'établissement est autorisé à émettre de la monnaie électronique et à fournir des services de paiement, mais ne détient pas de licence bancaire. Vos fonds doivent être protégés — conservés séparément des fonds propres de l'entreprise sur un compte cloisonné auprès d'une banque réglementée. Cela offre une protection significative, mais n 'est pas couvert par les systèmes de garantie des dépôts. Le recouvrement en cas d'insolvabilité peut prendre des mois.
Ce que cela signifie : Autorisé à initier des paiements et à détenir des fonds temporairement, avec des exigences de protection de base. Pas de garantie des dépôts. Convient aux flux de paiement des entreprises, mais pas à la détention de soldes importants.

Les dépôts sur Wise sont-ils protégés ?
Non. Wise est un établissement de monnaie électronique, et non une banque. Vos fonds sont protégés (placés dans des comptes séparés), mais ils ne sont pas couverts par le système européen de garantie des dépôts. Cela signifie qu'il n'y a pas de garantie de 100 000 € en cas d'insolvabilité.
Les dépôts effectués sur Revolut sont-ils protégés ?
Oui. Revolut détient une licence bancaire complète délivrée par la Banque de Lituanie (sous la supervision de la BCE). Les dépôts des clients de l'UE/EEE sont garantis jusqu'à 100 000 € par le Fonds lituanien d'assurance des dépôts et des investissements.
