Revolut CEO: US Would Be Our Preferred Primary Listing for a Future IPO

Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky told Bloomberg TV on October 8, 2026 that the digital bank would favor a primary listing in the United States if and when it pursues an IPO, saying the firm wants to “dominate” the US market and plans to roll out credit cards and loans once it holds a full US banking charter.

The comment follows Revolut’s preliminary approval for a US national banking licence in September 2026, after it secured banking licences in Britain and France earlier in the year. Storonsky had previously told French newspaper Les Echos that Revolut was also considering a dual listing in New York and London.

Any listing is still at least a year away by Storonsky’s own account, with past reporting pointing to 2028, and remains subject to market conditions — so this is a stated preference, not a filing. Revolut is currently valued at roughly $115 billion privately, ahead of Barclays and Societe Generale by market value.

What it means for users: no near-term change to Revolut’s product or EU regulatory footprint, but a US-first listing preference, paired with its new US banking licence, points to Revolut’s center of gravity shifting toward the US market over the next few years — worth watching for EU users who value Revolut’s current EU banking-licence protections.
