Wise Group plc published its Q1 FY2027 (April–June 2026) trading results on 16 July 2026, reporting continued strong growth across all key metrics.
Key figures
| Metric | Q1 FY27 | Change YoY |
|---|---|---|
| Active customers | 11.9 million | +21% |
| Cross-border volume | $69.3 billion | +26% |
| Transaction revenue | $540.9 million | +27% |
| Net revenue | $714.0 million | +25% |
| Customer holdings | $41.2 billion | +31% |
| Cross-border take rate | 0.50% | −2 bps |
| Instant transfers | 77% of transfers | +7 pp |
Wise reiterated its FY27 guidance for net revenue growth around the mid-point of the 15–20% medium-term target range (on a constant-currency basis) and income before tax margin around the top of the 20–25% range.
What this means for EU customers
Wise’s declining take rate (−2 bps to 0.50%) combined with accelerating volume growth reflects continued price discipline — Wise is growing faster while continuing to push down transfer costs. The 77% instant transfer rate is a direct competitive differentiator versus SWIFT-based bank transfers.
EU customers benefit from Wise’s SEPA network for EUR transfers and the ability to hold and convert 40+ currencies. The Q1 FY27 results provide independent confirmation that Wise’s EU business model remains healthy despite the active Belgian AML investigation reported in June 2026.
